The popular Music on the Lake concert series at St. Clair Shores Veterans Memorial Park kicks off on June 7.
The Wednesday night series is in its 32nd year and is once again sponsored by Petitpren, which has been the sole sponsor of Music on the Lake during its entire existence.
“We have our full concert lineup ready to roll and I think everyone is going to be pleased,” said Parks and Recreation Director Harry Bowman.
“I’m just appreciative of Petitpren and all they do,” said activities committee vice chair Karl Schwartzwalder. “They have made memories for all of the residents and for those in surrounding communities who attend Music on the Lake.
“They have created a lot of fun for all of us.”
Mayor Kip Walby said he knows many people who have attended the concerts every single year of the series that has spanned more than three decades.
“Music on the Lake is part of the fabric of St. Clair Shores,” said Walby
All concerts are open to the public and start at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on Jefferson Avenue near Masonic Boulevard. Admission and parking are free.
